Over the years, I have built up a large collection of pdfs, some are from talks or displays I have undertaken, and others come from my research. These include a variety of historical documents, either directly linked to the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, to canals more generally, or to those related to various aspects of industrial history.
These latter include some on the health of the population, as the removal of nightsoil and street sweepings was an important canal traffic on many canals, especially the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. On the left are photos of manure being delivered to Tarelton, and below one of the main loading wharves at Sandhills in 1987. There are also several related to bridges, both reports I have written, and contemporary documents. One report in the Industrial History section is on South Dock Bridge in Goole, seen on the left.
